Christmas 2013

I have always enjoyed the Christmas season, but nothing prepared me for the joy I would feel during the Christmas holiday after having our first child. Even though Eisley won't remember her first Christmas, Chad and I made sure to begin our family Christmas traditions with her.

It was a special Christmas this year because Uncle Kyle was here with us. It was great to have my brother here to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Here are a few of our memories:

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Two Months 12-20-2013

Eisley is two months! We can't believe how the time has flown by!

Here are some things we've noticed in the past month:
-She is recognizing our faces more and more responds with with smiles
-She coos quite a bit, especially in her favorite place, the changing table!
-Her personality is starting to show a lot through her facial expressions.
-Her hair has gone from dark brown, to blond, to light brown...we're not quire sure what her "real" hair color is going to be...and she still has baby blue eyes.
-She is a squirm worm, always moving (even in her sleep!)
-This baby likes to stand! She can support her own weight and stand up with our help! She's even sitting up in her Bumbo..anything to stay away from laying flat on her back!
-She fights naps...all day!
-Eisley really loves the mornings, but gets a bit crabby in the afternoon.
-This baby has GAS...and can clear a room when she toots!
-Eisley and I have become old pros with breastfeeding- PHEW! We thought this day would never come! :)

We can see that she's learning and growing like crazy! It's amazing how much she's changed in the past month. Here a few of our favorite 2 month photos:

Annual Christmas Dinner

For the past three years, our closest friends have gathered together at our house to celebrate Christmas. The night is always full of AMAZING food and lots of fun and laughter!

This year was especially awesome because everyone brought their kids (Baby Boy Wilt and Baby James Alcock), who are still in their mamas bellies, were there too!). It was so exciting to see them together. Kate and Eisley are too young to "play," but Mari was so gentle and kind with them. She was giving Eisley kisses while she slept (my heart melted!).

I believe God has perfect timing in the fact that our kids were all born or are all coming into the world around the same time. I'm so excited to see them grow up together and bless each other with great friendships!

We are truly blessed to have such great people in our lives with which to live life!

Pre-Christmas

Nana and Papa weren't able to spend the actual day of Christmas with us, but they were able to spend the weekend before with us. It doesn't matter the day we are together; it matters that we're TOGETHER!

We exchanged gifts, went to my parents property to hike around, watched movies, ate good food, and just spent some quality time together!

I'm so thankful for my parents. They are so wonderful! They travel our way to visit Eisley as much as they can and for that we are blessed!

I'd love to say I have more pictures from the weekend, but I get so wrapped up in having them here that I forget to take pics!

Here's a few:

Hilarious!

Out for some fresh air

We went for a hike on my parents property today. It was a gorgeous day! If you can believe it, it was 54 degrees...on Dec 21st!

We snuggled Eisley into the Ergo and off we went!

1st Trip to the Dentist

Not for Eisley...thank goodness!!

I had to get a tooth pulled earlier this week (yuck!). Luckily, Chad had a snow day and I didn't have to take Eisley with me.

Today's a different story. I had to get re-checked today and Eisley came with!

She was an angel!! She slept the whole time (snored quite loudly actually) and was loved on by the staff at Dr. Wright's office! :-)
