It's so fun to take Eisley out in the nice weather! We haven't been outside with her this much...well...ever! :-)

Sweet Treat
With the warmer weather the last couple of days, we decided a quick trip to Menchies for some frozen yogurt was in order! They have a new flavor, hazelnut. YUM!
Sweet Potatoes and Butternut Squash
Chad and I have been making homemade baby food for Eisley. After finding the right containers to freeze her food in, we have gone to town on making yummy organic food for her to eat.
Today's specialty is a mix of sweet potato and butternut squash.
We think she likes it!

4 Months 2-20-2014
Eisley is 4 months old! Where does the time go?!
This past month we've seen Eisley change so much! She is finally getting into a pretty set routine and really starting to show us her personality.Here are a few of our favorites from this month:
-Eisley is pretty set into her daily routine...except for her nighttime sleeping! Boy, oh boy, does this girl like to get up in the middle of the night for some late-night snacking! It's wearing me out. Chad and I are both hoping she starts to love sleep like her mom and dad and start sleeping through the night.
-She is officially a side sleeper. She started out rolling all over her bed at night, but has recently decided that her right side is wear it's at! We put her to bed at night, say our nighttime prayers with her, and she instantly rolls to her side. Too cute!
-Eisley found her feet. Although she's not quite coordinated enough to get her feet to her mouth, it's hilarious to watch her try!
-Wrigley dog has been the latest and greatest entertainment for Eisley Grace. She will watch Wrig run up and down the hallway after her ball and thinks it's hilarious when Wrigley barks or gets excited over her toys. It's amazing how well she can keep track of Wrigley as she runs all around the living room.
-She has definitely taken to the TV. Sometimes at night we'll play with her (and by play, I mean, Eisley watches Chad play songs on her little toy xylophone) and then we'll put a movie on (for maybe 5-10 minutes) to help her relax a bit before her bath and bedtime. Recently, our movie of choice has been Lilo and Stitch.
We've had a bit of a scare with Eisley this month. Chad noticed that one of Eisley's pupils was quite a bit more dilated than the other. Of course, we called the doctor right away and we were so nervous when he told us she needed to come in the very next day to be seen. After examining her, he told us there wasn't anything urgent going on, but that we needed to keep a close eye on her. We recently had her checked again and they still noticed a difference in her pupils. We have been referred to an pediatric ophthalmologist to have her eye checked out. We don't believe there is anything serious, but need to make sure with a specialist. We pray there is nothing serious happening with her vision. We put of hope in God.
We've also been told that Eisley is not gaining enough weight. Ugh. It's hard for me, as a mother who breastfeeds, to hear this. When you hear something like this, you feel as if you, and you alone, aren't able to provide for your child. I know this is not the case, and I shouldn't take it personal, but that's easier said than done! Our goal, for the next month and a half, is to fatten that baby up! If she doesn't gain enough weight, we'll have to get tests run to see if there is a thyroid issue or something else. Chad and I are determined to add a few cute, chubby rolls on Eisley's sweet little arms! ;-)
Chad and I have often talked about how much parenting will age a person. We've definitely aged this month!! I'm sure I've lost years off my life worrying about Eisley. It's difficult not to worry and feel helpless at times, but I'm so thankful to believe in a Savior who I can run to when I'm scared and worried and anxious..and..the list goes on.

Nom Nom Nom
Eisley Grace has started to eat cereal and veggies! Hilarious, messy, and fun!

(3 Months 1-20-2014
This post is several weeks late (note my last post and my lack of keeping up with our pictures on our camera!)
Eisley Grace turned 3 months on 1-20-2014. Each month, Chad and I are always in shock that another month has "already gone by."
Here's what's been happening in the past month:
-Eisley is sleeping full-time in her crib (for both bedtime and her naps). This has been a great relief off of momma's shoulders! Instead of the light sleep I was getting during the night, I'm able to get pretty decent amounts of sleep now. The monitor keeps track of any (or no) movement in the crib (including breathing!), room temperature, sound, and video. Technology is a wonderful thing.
-She loves to roll around! She is constantly rolling from her back to her tummy and back. It's always a surprise as to where and how in her crib she will be laying. She is never in the same spot in which we lay her.
-Mornings are great for Eisley. She wakes up (or we wake her up) in a good mood every day. Nighttime is a different story. Around 6 each night, she starts to get grumpy. We can tell she gets tired and the only thing that will sooth her is to be held and walked around the house. Chad and I have walked laps upon laps around our main floor. We are very much looking forward to the nights of cuddling on the couch with her.
-Drool, drool, and more drool. We have moved to wearing bibs ALL the time to help preserve her clothes and to keep her from not getting too cold from having wet clothes! We've heard drool equals teeth, but we haven't seen (or felt) any evidence of teeth....yet!
-Growing! She is growing so long! You can't help but laugh at the irony of MY daughter being rather "tall/long."
-Eisley watches people and things with intensity. It's as if she is soaking in and learning everything she can. It's so funny to see her watch something and then make a face at it. We always wonder what she is thinking. She loves to watch Wrigley dog run back and forth across the living room. I take this as another sign that they will be close little friends.

I decided to actually look at ALL the pictures on our camera and start to organize them. Well, to say that we've taken a lot of pictures would be the understatment of the century; I think we had more pictures than a professional photographer!
