Gettin' Big!
Eisley's starting to (with help) hold her own bottle. I think she would have done this sooner if she didn't have the heavier glass bottles.
Chad's Birthday Getaway
Nana and Papa came into town for the weekend so Chad and I could take a little trip away. We decided to head up to
Columbus, OH for the weekend.
We had great food, went to the movies (this is a big deal- we haven't been to the movies together in forever!!), and slept-in.
That trip was SO needed, but we were SO ready to get home to Eisley at the end of the weekend. Thank you, Nana and Papa, for the time away!
Trip to Nana and Papas
This past week we traveled to Chicago and the upper peninsula of Michigan. We traveled 11 hours in one day and Eisley did awesome in the car!! The key to traveling, we found, is to leave when she is normally in bed. She slept the entire time (although we were exhausted! :-))
Eisley was able to meet my grandmother, her great-grandma, on this trip! What a great time we all had! Eisley was unsure at first of all the new people around her, but warned up to my grandma and family very quickly.
We ate at my favorite pizza place in the UP and spent time and shared stories with my Unlce and Aunts.
After that, we traveled back to my parents house and hung out the rest of the week. We ate great food, went swimming, and just relaxed.
It was a great vacation!!
Here are a few of my favorite moments (those I was able to capture) from our trip:

Road Trip to Grandmas house!
We went on our first road trip with Eisley this week! We drove to Chad's mom's house. It was a 5 hour trip; Eisley did great!
As always, we had delicious food, made great memories, and simply relaxed. Our nights at the hotel were a little rough because Eisley, being in the same room as us, wanted to stay up late! That made for some longs nights and a cranky kid!
It was rough at first, but we got the hang of it. Overall, it was a fun trip!

Hanging at the pool
Eisley really enjoys hanging out in the pool. She doesn't seem to be afraid of water, which is great! I think next summer we'll look into swimming lessons!
