36 weeks!

36 weeks has arrived! We are officially under the 30-day mark.

My belly is B-I-G, I love taking naps (almost daily!), and I'm feeling every single movement these days! Her movements have changed from sweet little nudges to full out kicks, punches, and body rolls. She is getting so big; it's really just an amazing miracle (that sometimes isn't so comfortable...)!

Time has flown by so fast up until now. Chad and I are SO excited to meet our little girl and smother her with hugs and kisses that these last weeks are slowly creeping along. We are trying to enjoy every minute of our last moments as a family of two, but we are VERY anxious for Eisley's arrival!

Maternity Pictures

Last Saturday, Chad and I went and had maternity pictures taken. I had scheduled this photo session back at the end of July and was excited the day had finally arrived! Unfortunately, Saturday was one of the hottest days I remember in the month of August! It was 90 degrees with a heat index of 102! Chad was not a happy camper having to bear the heat, and honestly, I wasn't looking forward to spending the time doing my hair to sweat-it-up after two steps in the sun!

With all that being said, we grinned and made the best of it...and I'm so glad we did! We met our photographer, Alicia Hasekoester, at the Creation Museum. If you have never been there, you should take a trip! The outdoor gardens are gorgeous; they are great for planned or impromptu photos! Alicia was great to work with; she had our photo shoot all planned out, but was always up for our ideas and suggestions! We highly recommend her!

Here are a few of our favorites:

Closet....all finished!

A LONG time ago, Chad decided he didn't like the closet in the nursery. So, he decided to rip out all of the wire organization shelves and build his own closet. He wanted to put in brushed nickel hardware, a new, brighter light, and handmade wooden shelves.

He did a GREAT job! The closet is finally done and looks beautiful!

Here are some pics of Chad (and my brother) working on closet and wooden shelves. I sure do love my handyman! :-)

The finished nursery pictures (including the closet) are coming SOON!!!
